Obtaining Additional User Licenses

Intro

If you or the customer you look after, requires additional user licenses, you can reach out to our support team to raise a case for issuing additional user licenses. In doing so, please identify the license type and count that you would need issued and provide us with the Salesforce Org Id of the customer’s production environment.

License Types

There are a number of license types that we can issue. The table below summarizes what licenses we can provision.

License Type Description Considerations
System Admin Only used by System Administrators, super-users and sometimes integration users. Request this user license type if you need to onboard a developer / admin
Platform This is the standard internal user’s license type. Developers/Admins may not use this license type as it is restrictive
Portal User (Regular) This is a Customer Community license and comes with different flavors:

-       Login – price is determined per login

-       Member – price is determined per user

Identify whether an external user is expected to use the portal often or not. If the external user is expected to log in often, then we recommend requesting “Member” license. Furthermore, be aware that there are huge discounts for bulk orders. Talk to your 3B Partner Account Manager to find out what’s optimal
Portal User (Manager) This is a Customer Community Plus license type that grants access to some additional platform features such as Reporting.
Sales Cloud / Marketing Cloud / Service Cloud We can issue these licenses at a discounted rate as we are an OEM partner.
