Intro

3B Onboarding is a complex application with dependencies to other 3B products such as 3B Forms*(link to article) and 3B Docs*(link to article). We would recommend that you leave one of our engineers to install the application into your org (unless you are acquiring Salesforce through us).

Install Packages

Head over to out Change Log *(link to category) and go to the latest version of our app. Validate what other application dependencies the particular version may have and install them first.

When you have installed 3B Onboarding and all dependencies, you would need to start the basic configuration process. Follow the article here on how to set up a Site/Digital Experience Community.

Client Discovery

Think of 3B Onboarding as a component-based app suite that requires a lot of careful planning. This is why before any configuration activity, we highly recommend that you perform scoping and discovery workshops (internally or with the client if you are an implementation partner). This will help you plan out the implementation project and deliver a hassle-free implementation experience.

Once you have completed the recommended discovery workshops, we recommend that process wireframes are build using tools like draw.io, figma etc. These wireframes will help you understand better the workflow and branding requirements.

Branding

Since all client and candidate facing screens are created as isolated components that are embeddable even externally from Salesforce, you have the choice to either use the default out of the box styling set or you can customize and tweak it to fit the branding colour schema or even completely replace with your own. Each component or plugin in our documentation provides you with detailed API documentation, so please feel free to explore the individual plugin’s documentation.

Integrations

Some integrations that we have require that we onboard you as a customer or that we gain access to your existing licenses/account in order to complete the configuration process. Please go to the Integrations*(link to integrations) page to review which integrations require account sync.

Large File Suppurt

Since version 4.11, admins must configure the API Username, API Password and API Token fields under Onboarding Default Settings. Refer to the article Large File Support for more details.

Recommendations

We recommend that the implementation of 3B Onboarding is done by one of our internal engineers or preferred implementation partners*(link to article).
