The 3B Assessments module, tailor-made for the recruitment and staffing industry, allows for the creation, distribution, and evaluation of assessment quizzes.

1. Creating an Assessment

  1. Navigate to the App Launcher and input "Question Sets" in the search bar.
  2. Choose "Create a new Question Set".
  3. Set a "Passing Score" for the assessment which helps to ascertain if a candidate has passed or failed.
  4. To enter the assessment builder interface, click on the "Build" tab within the record detail.

2. Assessment Settings

Click on the "settings icon", then move to the Timer/Quiz section:

  • Time limit for the assessment (in seconds): Optionally set a time limit. If set, the assessment will auto-submit when the timer runs out.
  • Time limit per page (in seconds): Optionally set a page-wise time limit.
  • Timer Location: Choose its display position - Hidden, Top, or Bottom.
  • Timer Mode: Determine the timer's application - Both (whole assessment and per page), Page, or Assessment.

3. Adding Questions

On the left panel, various question types are available:

  • Selection-based Questions (Radio Group, Rating Scale, Checkboxes, Dropdown, Multiselect, Yes/No Question): Assign scores to each option under the "Choices" section on the right panel. Each option can bear a positive or negative score. Correct answers can be specified in the "Data" section.
  • File Upload: For uploading files.
  • Image Picker & Ranking: Choose an image or rank items.
  • Text Inputs (Single Line and Long Text): For open-ended answers.
  • Parent & Child Panels: Group fields or create repeated sections.
  • Matrix Questions: Choose Single, Multi, or Dynamic matrix based on requirements.
  • HTML & Expression: Embed HTML or create a calculated value.
  • Signature: For digital signatures.

4. Distributing Assessments

Assessments can be:

  • Incorporated into a Document Pack.
  • Sent as a magic link for candidates.
  • Automated within email templates, Quick Actions, Digital Experiences, or the 3B Portals app.

5. Assessment Completion and Evaluation

On completion:

  • A "Candidate Scorecard" record is generated linking the candidate, assessment, and their responses in the "Assessment Response" related object.

Navigating to a Candidate Scorecard provides insights into:

  • Actual Start and End Time: Displays when the candidate began and submitted the assessment.
  • Score: The total score obtained.
  • Max Score: The highest achievable score, set in the builder.
  • Result: A Pass or Fail determination based on Score > Question Response > Passing Score.
  • Answers Tab: Contains all individual responses with:
    • Linking Fields: Scorecard and Question Set links.
    • Question Attributes: Type, Score, Correctness, Requirement status, Display Value, Correct Answer, Title, Description, Identifier.
    • File Section: For file-type questions.
