Intro
3B Onboarding introduces the File Editor Utility in version 4.10+. This advanced tool streamlines the process of editing and customizing image files directly within our platform, eliminating the need for external software or manual file downloads.
Benefits:
- Efficiency: Recruiters can swiftly edit files without navigating away from the platform.
- Consistency: Keeping all edits within the system ensures uniformity in file formatting and avoids version confusion.
- Security: Reduces the risks associated with downloading and re-uploading files, ensuring data protection and compliance.
Feature Highlights:
- Native to the Salesforce platform.
- Supports a range of image formats: 'gif', 'jpg', 'jpeg', 'png', 'svg+xml', 'tiff', 'webp'.
- Deployed as a Lightning Web Component (LWC) that can be seamlessly integrated into any Quick Action.
- Default Quick Action "Edit Files" pre-installed on both Contact and 3B Certificate objects.
- Two-step user-friendly wizard for file selection and comprehensive image editing.
Implementation Guide for Systems Implementers:
- Integration:
- The File Editor Utility, being a LWC, can be easily added to any Quick Action. While we provide "Edit Files" as a pre-configured Quick Action on the Contact and 3B Certificate objects, implementers can introduce this feature to other objects as needed.
- Configuration:
- No additional configuration is required post-implementation. Once added to a Quick Action, the File Editor is ready for use.
- Usage:
- Users initiate the File Editor by clicking on the associated Quick Action.
- The two-step wizard will guide users through the editing process:
- File Selection: Users choose the desired file from available options.
- Editing: Users can apply various edits including rotation, scaling, cropping, watermarking, annotating, and adjustments like saturation and brightness.
Tips for End Users:
- Always preview your edits before finalizing to ensure the desired outcome.
- Use the annotation feature for highlighting or adding important context to the image.
- Adjusting saturation and brightness can significantly enhance image quality, especially for documents or images captured under suboptimal lighting conditions.
- If adding a watermark, ensure it does not obscure critical information within the image.
