What's New in Version 4.4

Seamless Integration with 3B Forms v4.4

Version 4.4 of 3B Onboarding introduces seamless integration with 3B Forms v4.4. This synergy ensures that your onboarding processes align perfectly with the latest form-building capabilities. You can harness the power of the new form builder and architecture to create dynamic onboarding experiences tailored to your organization's needs.

Bug Fixes

In our ongoing commitment to providing a stable and reliable onboarding solution, we've addressed various bugs and issues reported by our valued users. Version 4.4 includes bug fixes that enhance the overall performance and usability of 3B Onboarding.

3B Portals Optimizations

We've optimized the 3B Portals component to deliver an even smoother and more efficient experience for users. These optimizations streamline the onboarding process and improve navigation within the portals, ensuring that your users can access the information they need quickly and effortlessly.

Stability Improvements for the Compliance Component

The compliance component within 3B Onboarding has received significant stability improvements in version 4.4. These enhancements bolster the reliability and accuracy of compliance-related tasks, providing you with greater confidence in managing compliance requirements during the onboarding process.

Client-Facing Component Changes

Version 4.4 of 3B Onboarding includes a comprehensive refactoring and complete overhaul of client-facing components. These changes result in a new and improved user experience, but they also impact the existing setup. Here's what you need to know:

Job Boards

The Job Boards component has been extensively re-factored and redesigned to offer a more streamlined and intuitive interface. Users should expect changes in layout, navigation, and functionality. If you have previously customized the CSS or HTML of the job boards, these customizations may be affected by the update.

Job Posts

Similar to the Job Boards component, Job Posts have undergone significant changes in version 4.4. The layout, design, and functionality have been enhanced to provide a more user-friendly experience. Existing CSS and HTML customizations for job posts may require adjustments to align with the new design.

My Documents

My Documents, a critical component of the onboarding process, has been restructured and improved in version 4.4. Users can expect changes in the way documents are organized and accessed. If you have embedded My Documents on a customer website or made CSS/HTML customizations, these components may be affected by the upgrade.

My Invitations

The My Invitations component has been revamped to simplify the invitation process and enhance user engagement. The user interface and functionality have been updated. If you have integrated My Invitations on a customer website or applied CSS/HTML customizations, please be aware that these customizations may need adjustment.

Login and Register

With version 4.4+, we no longer support registration through a 3B Form due to tightened security measures. Instead, developers can implement the <login-component> in order to handle sessions when 3B is implemented externally. There is also a new global API method in APEX RemoteUtils.getContextUserContactId();which can extract the contactId from a given sessionKey.

Quick Apply & Pre-Application Vetting Questionnaire Deprecation

We have deprecated the Quick Apply and Pre-Application Vetting Questionnaire, available in previous versions. Please make sure to move the Vetting Question Sets in a Post-Application document pack (if utilized).

Planning Your Upgrade

Given the substantial changes to client-facing components in version 4.4, upgrading to this release requires meticulous planning:

  1. Review Component Documentation: We strongly recommend reviewing the documentation for each client-facing component available in our wiki. This documentation will provide detailed information about the changes, new features, and potential impacts on customizations.
  2. Assess CSS/HTML Customizations: If you have implemented CSS or HTML customizations for any of the client components, assess how these customizations may be affected by the upgrade. You may need to update your custom code to align with the new design and functionality.
  3. Prepare Stakeholders: Ensure that all stakeholders, including administrators, developers, and end-users, are aware of the impending upgrade and its impact on client-facing components. Provide training or support as needed to facilitate a smooth transition.

Upgrade to Version 4.4

We encourage all 3B Onboarding users to upgrade to version 4.4 to take full advantage of these enhancements and ensure compatibility with 3B Forms v4.4.
