Intro
Contract Redlining
Create a Template via CLM. Then, create a 'Redlining Request' record. If you use Inputs or Signature, you can assign the Submitter (1, 2, 3..) that this field or signature is mapped to.
From the Redlining Request, you can use the record selection component to auto-populate the "Record Id" field (this id will be used to merge the template).
Add collaborators and assign permissions:
- Read Only - the collaborator will have a read only view of the editor
- Can Make Suggestions - the collaborator can edit the template
- Can Accept Changes - the collaborator can accept changes
- Can Discard Changes - the collaborator can discard changes
Use the "Magic Link (Redline)" field formula to send an email to each collaborator. This link will take the collaborator to the editing interface.
In order to sign the document, all document suggestions must be resolved and each collaborator must click on "Ready to Sign" button (which maps to the Status" field on the collaborator record).
Once everyone is ready to sign, the Magic Link (Redline) link will allow the collaborators to sign in order. Alternatively, you can send the collaborators an email with the link from the Magic Link (Sign) field that will take the collaborator straight through to the signature interface.
Note:
- Only the fields that are assigned to the collaborator by Order number will be editable.
- We will generate a PDF after each collaborator has signed the document. Only the final PDF will have the correct document margins.
- The labels, page settings and other properties are taken from the base template
