3B Sign is an e-signature solution delivered by 3B Soft that allows Salesforce customers to electronically sign PDF documents, similarly to how DocuSign works. 3B Sign is an add-on to 3B Docs and requires a sign up on https://app.3bdocs.com

Installation

To integrate 3B Sign with Salesforce, you need to have 3B Docs v2.0+. Follow the instructions below to perform the initial setup:

1. In Salesforce, set up a Guest Site/Guest Community and grant access to the X3BSign apex classes. You can re-use the same site created for 3B Docs/3B Forms
   1. Get the Site URL (should look something like this https://your-name.my.salesforce-sites.com/forms)
   2. Append "/services/apexrest/b3d/3BSign/v1/" to your Site URL to get a link like this https://your-name.my.salesforce-sites.com/forms/services/apexrest/b3d/3BSign/v1/
   3. Take note of this url - we will call it "the salesforce webhook" link from now on
2. Sign up for 3B Sign (you can do this yourself or ask our team for assistance)
3. Navigate to Settings and take note of the X-Auth-Token under API section
4. Get your Salesforce Org Id and populate it in 3B Sign under Setup -> Account
5. Get your Salesforce Org User Id and populate it in 3B Sign under Setup -> Profile. This will enable Single Sign On (SSO)
6. Set your Salesforce webhook in 3B Sign under Setup -> Webhooks
7. Finally, go to Salesforce -> Custom Settings -> 3B Docs General Settings and set the "3B Sign Auth Token" field to the X-Auth-Token from 3B Sign

Usage

In Salesforce, switch your app to "3B Sign". You will now see a new tab called "Documents", and another tab called "Sign". These are your interaction points with 3B Sign within Salesforce. You can use the 3B Sign integration for the following workflows:

1. You can create new documents from Salesforce, and they will be synced with your account in 3B Sign. The opposite is also true.
2. You can request signatures from Salesforce, simply create a new Submission Request, add submitters and click on the "Request Signature" field.
3. Signed documents will be re-created in Salesforce and will be saved under Document -> Submission Requests -> Submitter -> Files

Considerations

3B Sign is not Salesforce native, however it runs on Heroku, so highest security standards still apply.

Q: Can I pre-populate a document with 3B Sign?

A: Currently - no. Although it is in our product map, for now, please use 3B Docs to generate PDFs that need to be merged with Salesforce data.

Q: Do you support multiple signatories?

A: Yes - you can add a tiered signature flow

3B Soft ("3B Soft" or "Company") provides the 3B Docs application (the "App") as a free service to Salesforce customers, subject to the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service" or "TOS"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by the TOS. Exclusions: The App is not available to customers of 3B Onboarding, TargetRecruit, mPloyee, Bullhorn, or any other Applicant Tracking System (ATS) not mentioned here, as well as companies who define themselves as a Recruitment and Staffing company. Additionally, companies who install this product in order to use for their recruitment and staffing needs, even if the company is not a Recruitment or Staffing company, are also excluded from using the App. Intended Use: The App is intended to be used by companies and individuals for document creation, e-signature, and management on the Salesforce platform. The App is specifically targeted towards the Recruitment and Staffing industry, which allows 3B Soft to release the App for free to other industries. Any use of the App for recruitment and staffing purposes is strictly prohibited. Modifications to the App: 3B Soft reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the App or any service, or portion thereof, with or without notice at any time, and 3B Soft will not be liable to you or any third party should it exercise such rights. Proprietary Rights: The App and all content and software associated with the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of 3B Soft and are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark laws. Warranty Disclaimer: The App is provided "as is" and 3B Soft makes no express or implied warranties or representations of any kind as to the operation of the App or the information, content, materials, or products included on the App. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, 3B Soft disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. 3B Soft will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages. Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify and hold 3B Soft, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless from and against any and all third-party claims, actions or demands, liabilities and settlements including without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, resulting from, or alleged to result from, your use of the App in violation of these TOS. Governing Law: These TOS and your use of the App shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Entire Agreement: These TOS constitute the entire agreement between you and 3B Soft regarding the use of the App, superseding any prior agreements between you and 3B Soft. Violation of TOS: 3B Soft reserves the right to seek all remedies available at law and in equity for violations of these TOS, including but not limited to the right to block access to the App.
